6 Easy Tips For Healthy Natural Kinky Curly Hair

Want healthier, thicker hair? Healthy natural hair doesn’t need to be difficult to achieve. The health of your hair can be related to your haircare routine.

Many women with kinky-curly hair believe their hair grows slowly. Hair grows at an average rate of ½ inch per month. Kinky-curly hair can sometimes grow a little slower, but not by much. The real answer to seeing a lack of growth is often hair breakage.

This means that by the time new hair grows, the ends have broken off, making it seem like your hair isn’t growing at all. Healthy hair is often linked to retaining length.

A few adjustments to your haircare routine will help your hair become healthier.

Read on for six easy tips to care for your hair that will have your tresses looking it’s absolute best.

TIP 1

Moisturise often. Dry hair often causes strands to become brittle and so break off. Try applying a liquid, a cream and then an oil, in this order every two to three days if your hair is in a non protective style.

TIP 2

Stop combing. Believe it or not your hair does not need combing. Apply a (leave-in) conditioner into your wet hair and use your fingers to detangle, strand by strand. If you want a quicker alternative use a Denman brush or a detangling brush. If you are washing the conditioner out, ensure your hair stays stretched.

TIP 3

Protective styling. Protective styling protects hair from becoming tangled, particularly the ends of the strands. Be careful not to do protective styles that apply to much tension to your strands. This will cause hair to break further.

TIP 4

The health of our hair is also linked to our diet. Hair requires Vitamin A, C, D and E to grow. A balanced diet can help your hair grow. Some good foods include spinach, fatty fish, nuts, seeds and avocados.

TIP 5

Do routine scalp massages. Stimulating the scalp helps blood flow and encourages growth. It’s a good idea to do this as part of your pre-poo treatment. Select your favourite Byooti Oils. Then mix them together and heat them to a warm but comfortable temperature. Apply to your hair and massage your scalp. Once you have finished let it sit for 20 mins and proceed to wash your hair. This can be carried out every 1-2 weeks.

TIP 6

Deep condition. Deep conditioners consists of hydrating ingredients that aim to replenish and retain moisture. It’s important that after you deep condition you use a hair cream and then oil to seal in the moisture. This prevents split ends and breaking. A great oil to use for this is Byooti Avocado Oil. This oil is organic, cold pressed and 100% pure to give your hair the nutrients it needs to thrive.
